Privacy Policy – MUSIC 2 WATCH
MUSIC 2 WATCH respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the Android phone application and its Wear OS companion handle information, media access, device communication, and permissions.
1. Personal data
MUSIC 2 WATCH does not require a user account. The developer does not collect, sell, rent, or use personal data for advertising, marketing, profiling, or behavioral tracking.
The application does not include third-party advertising SDKs or developer-operated analytics systems.
2. Music and media access
The application may request permission to access audio files stored on the user's Android phone or Wear OS device. This access is used only to display the user's music library and to provide functions selected by the user, such as playback, streaming, or transfer of music to a compatible smartwatch.
Media information such as file name, artist, album, duration, file size, and local media location may be read from the device only as needed to provide these functions.
The developer does not upload the user's music library to a developer-operated cloud server.
3. Phone and smartwatch communication
MUSIC 2 WATCH communicates between the user's Android phone and compatible Wear OS smartwatch. Communication may use Google Play services for Wear OS, Wi-Fi, a local network connection, or device-to-device transfer mechanisms provided by Android and Wear OS.
When the user chooses to stream or transfer a music file, the selected media and necessary technical transfer information are transmitted only to the user's connected device as part of the requested application function.
4. Wi-Fi, nearby devices, and network access
The application may use Internet, network-state, Wi-Fi-state, and nearby Wi-Fi permissions to detect connectivity and establish communication between the phone and smartwatch.
Local network communication may be used to stream audio directly from the phone to the smartwatch. The application does not use this connection to send the user's music library to advertising companies or to a developer-operated remote server.
5. Notifications, foreground services, wake lock, and vibration
MUSIC 2 WATCH may use notifications and foreground services while a user-requested transfer or streaming operation is active. Wake-lock functionality may be used to keep the device available during an active operation. The Wear OS companion may use vibration for user-interface feedback or status notifications.
These permissions are used only to support application functionality.
6. Local storage and settings
Application preferences such as selected language, connection state, transfer status, and similar operational information may be stored locally on the user's device. This information is used only to provide and remember application functionality.
7. Third-party platform services
The application uses Google Play services for Wear OS communication. Google or the device operating system may independently process limited technical information required to provide platform services. Such processing is governed by Google's and the device platform's own privacy terms and is not controlled by the MUSIC 2 WATCH developer.
8. Data sharing
The developer does not sell personal data and does not share personal data with third parties for advertising, marketing, or profiling.
Data is transmitted between the user's own devices only when necessary for a function initiated by the user, such as connecting a watch, streaming music, or transferring a selected audio file.
9. Advertising and subscriptions
MUSIC 2 WATCH does not display third-party advertising and does not use advertising trackers.
10. Children
MUSIC 2 WATCH is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. The application does not operate a user-account system or a developer-operated database containing children's personal information.
11. Security
The application is designed to keep media access and application settings on the user's devices and to use device-to-device communication only when required by the selected function. Users should keep Android, Wear OS, Google Play services, and their devices updated and should use trusted Wi-Fi networks and paired devices.
12. User choices
Users can control application permissions through Android or Wear OS system settings. Removing media or network-related permissions may prevent some MUSIC 2 WATCH features from working.
Local application data can generally be removed by clearing the application's data or uninstalling the application from the device.
13. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when the application changes or when legal, platform, or Google Play requirements change. The current version will remain available at this public GitHub Pages address.
